Eco apron one-of-a-kind

I can’t bear throwing fabric remnants away, consequently I have two big boxes of fabric bits, left over from making aprons. This apron is constructed using ochre denim remnants, which have subtle colour differences from the different dye lots. The result is one highly individual yet tough and functional work apron that will last for years to come.

New old shorts…

Today I needed to get my legs out in the sun! So I altered a pair of very old saggy long shorts to make a pair of short, shorts (for garden wear!). I handed sewed the hem, with the new Gutermann “Denim” thread, using backstitch to give nice chunky stitches.
