The classic combination of red, white and blue – red herringbone tape adjustable straps with navy and white fine stripe Hickory (Railroad) denim. A split skirt allows plenty of movement and good coverage, the pockets have lots of compartments for tools and the crossback soft straps tie to D-rings- easy to adjust for a wide size range and fit over extra layers of clothing in a chilly studio!
Really pleased with my new potters apron design, which went on sale in my Folksy and Etsy shops today. Based on another apron in my range, with a re-designed split skirt, it’s incredibly flattering for all sizes, attractive, yet superbly functional for the needs of artists and makers. The pleated skirt and front overlapping split skirt allows plenty of movement whilst ensuring good protection when sitting at the potters wheel.
A new split leg, crossback apron in my Folksy and Etsy shops. The medium-weight hickory stripe denim fabric is a workwear classic, it gives great protection for all sorts of crafts, home & garden. I haven’t used a stripe fabric for a while… sewing the curved edges of the bib makes my eyes go funny! Also, after getting a few requests, I have introduced a Petite Size UK6-10 (152-160cm/ 5′-5’3″).

Named for it’s distinctive kite -shape, I am so pleased with how this apron turned out, it perfectly fits me (5’6″) and my partner (6’4″), and looks great. No19:2 – A black linen bib apron with a heavy lace trim, inspired by Austrian Tyrol folk dress – we had a wonderful summer holiday there once, when I was 11, on Sunday women passed the hotel in their way to church, dressed in long plum colored skirts, lace and big black hats! Folksy

I’ve produced a set of dinky mini-makers denim aprons, with brightly coloured ties and adjustable neck tie, to fit age 3-5 years. It’s a Christmas exclusive for MADE + GOOD! £42.00 inc. postage. 
I’ve been pondering doing a children’s crossback apron for quite a while – a couple of weeks ago a lady contacted me via Etsy to ask for just that! Her husband had bought her one of my No 4:3 aprons, which loves, and she wanted a couple like it for her young son.
I made a version of the adult No 7, so that the apron could be size/age adjustable age 4-7. I used the long side offcuts from cutting denim No 4 & No 7, seaming the aprons down the middle. This will reduce the final price of the apron a bit, when added to the making time which is only 40 minutes less than making than an adult size apron, plus webbing, d-rings and thread.
Here is the first sample….it is rather cute.

The apron has deep pockets concealed behind the pleated skirt, a box pleat in the bib, adjustable neck ties and long waist ties – the first three in this design are in crisp dark navy twill.
